“THE CATS OF MIRIKITANI”, Linda Hattendorf, Director, March 18, 2007.  Eighty-year old Jimmy Mirikitani, born in Sacramento, CA survives the trauma of WWII incarceration centers, Hiroshima, and homelessness by creating art when 9/11 threatens his life on the streets of New York City.  The filmmaker brings him to her home and the two embark on a journey to confront his painful past.  An intimate exploration of the lingering words of war and the healing power of friendship are the heart of this documentary.
